Come help the FRCS crew on this special weekend volunteer event. We will be working to bring in materials for constructing the steep section of trail below the East Bench of the 3rd Flatiron, just above the Satelite boulders.
The work will entail rock quarrying and transportation to the work sites. Come prepared for a rewarding and physical day of work, wearing long pants and sturdy closed-toe footwear. Don't forget water and gear for the season's weather. Lunch will be provided by Boulder Open Space and Mtn Parks.
We will all meet at the Bluebell shelter just up from the Ranger Cottage at Chautauqua at 9am. (a short hike up the Bluebell Road from the main Chautauqua parking area). Please factor in parking and this 10-15 minute approach to the shelter to be able to ready at 9am. We also remind everyone that there is a fee for parking at Chautuaqua on the weekends and normally quite busy. We ask everyone to carpool as much as possible and consider using the free shuttle.
Feel free to email us with any questions at [email protected] Please note, any volunteers under 18 years of age are required to have our waivers signed by a parent or guardian. We can send you PDF files ahead of time if you let us know.
Thanks and see you out there!
